Brasil: Gol quiere el 18% del mercado

La aerolínea de bajo costo Gol, quien tiene ahora un socio norteamericano, pretende llegar a fin de este año con el 18% del mercado doméstico de pasajeros. Actualmente la aerolínea tiene una participación del 15,5%, colocándose en la tercera posición a nivel nacional.
El Presidente de Gol, Constatino de Oliveira Junior, confirmó el acuerdo con la aseguradora estadounidense AIG, quien accedió al 20% de la empresa. Constantino se abstuvo de dar detalles del acuerdo, pero analistas del mercado especulan que el valor alcanzaría los 26 millones de dólares. “El Gobierno ya lo aprobó y está todo encaminado”, informó el ejecutivo.
Según Constantino, el Departamento de Aviación Civil (DAC), no está presionando a la empresa para disminuir vuelos en aeropuertos muy saturados, como por ejemplo Congonhas (SP), y Santos Dumont (RJ), “el DAC va a racionalizar el sistema, pero no pidió cortes de vuelos”, añadió el Presidente de GOL.
El ejecutivo declaró que va a observar el mercado antes de confirmar la compra de nuevos aviones. GOL opera con una flota de 22 Boeings 737. La compañía comenzó el pasado domingo un servicio de vuelos a Londrina (PR), y, en abril comenzará el servicio con Palmas (TO) en San Luis de Maranhao.
Constantino informó que la promoción de 1 Real finaliza el 31 de marzo, pero podrá ser prorrogada. La promoción permite al pasajero adquirir el billete de vuelta a un precio simbólico de 1 Real. Ahora la aerolínea estudia promociones para la tercera edad.
Gol no registró cambios en la demanda por el acuerdo operacional entre sus competidoras Varig y TAM, acuerdo iniciado el pasado día 10 de marzo. Constantino señaló que estará muy atento al movimiento de las dos compañías antes de tomar decisiones importantes.
La aviación comercial está sufriendo a causa de la guerra del Golfo, pero el ejecutivo de Gol es optimista: “Brasil continúa siendo el país de las oportunidades”, dijo, al subrayar que el acuerdo realizado con AIG es una prueba de que el “modelo operacional de bajo costo y baja tarifa” es promisorio en Brasil.
Gol a dos años de su creación ya transportó 8 millones de pasajeros. La aerolínea opera 230 vuelos diarios dando empleo a 2.070 personas.

Dinar: aporte de capital para seguir viviendo

Los socios de Dinar, la compañía aérea de origen salteño, decidieron aportar capital con el objetivo de cubrir las deudas posconcursales, según declaró el Presidente de la empresa, Gustavo Maradini Drago. Desde hace una semana la empresa no vuela, ya que tiene sus tres aviones detenidos y cubría sus servicios con aeronaves de American Falcon, que esta compañía ya no le alquila más.
En el curso de la tarde de ayer el ejecutivo había mantenido una reunión en el Ministerio de Trabajo con sindicalistas y funcionarios oficiales, donde había adelantado este anuncio y pedido un cuarto intermedio hasta pasado mañana, ya que en el ínterin concretarían la capitalización.
El aporte, dijeron, les permitiría cubrir las deudas saláriales, los pagos al BSP (el clearing de pasajes) y poner en actividad los aviones que tiene detenidos. Al personal, la empresa le debe el último aguinaldo y los salarios de enero y febrero.

Miami, FL.
